Greater Bendigo Against Family Violence Showcase Community Event

Event Description

Greater Bendigo Against Family Violence (GBAFV) is a committee that has been in operation since 2007. The committee is formed by representatives from 19 agencies who have an interest in the prevention of family violence.

Over the past 12 years the GBAFV program has grown extensively, from a small event conducted on White Ribbon Day to an annual event in November with 500 community members participating and calendar activities throughout the year.

The Community Showcase event will be held at Sidney Myer Place, Pall Mall. Attendees are encouraged to network and share ideas. The event will include the launch of a resource developed by the Karen community and an intercultural performance. After formalities, attendees are invited to participated in a community walk taking place from 12.30pm.
