Respect Ballarat grants - now open

A new round of grants funding is now open for organisations in Ballarat delivering work that prevents gendered violence.

This funding round is for $3.76 million, with grants of up to $400,000. Funding will be available for up to two years of work that addresses the drivers of gendered violence and contributes to a reduction in the rates of intimate partner violence.

Grant streams will align to the priority people and places of Respect Ballarat and aims to build on what works, as well as fill the gaps at an individual, community, organisational and institutional levels. This includes work with children and young people, new parents (with a focus on fathers), leaders, and men, across community sports clubs, workplaces, education and early years settings.

As part of this grants round, Respect Victoria is also accepting applications from local organisations to host an Early Years Setting Lead, and a Community Sport Setting Lead position. These lead positions will be hosted by local organisations with the relevant expertise and experience and will support a whole-of-setting approach to align with Respect Ballarat.

Grants will open on Monday 2 March and close on Friday 10 April at 4pm. A panel including representatives from Respect Victoria and independent gendered violence experts will review and assess applications.

Applications must be made via the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing Grants Gateway. If you are new to the grants gateway portal follow the prompts to register a profile. If your organisation has an existing account, please use this. If you have any questions about the application process, contact our team respectballarat@respectvictoria.vic.gov.au
