Ballarat Foundation grants

Respect Victoria has partnered with Ballarat Foundation to administer a grants program that will contribute to the outcomes of Respect Ballarat.

Grants will support local organisations to work in purposeful partnerships to deliver targeted 12-month prevention and early intervention initiatives that support behaviour change in Ballarat. The grants will focus on:

  • building partnerships between local organisations, prevention and community organisations to further prevention work
  • building prevention knowledge, understanding and action in workplaces and communities
  • seeking local solutions to behaviour change to prevent gendered violence.

A total of $1 million in initial grant funding will be available via the Ballarat Foundation, including:

  • small grants of $5,000 to $50,000
  • large grants of $50,001 to $100,000.

Projects will be funded for a maximum of one year and will be open to local organisations, community groups and partnerships.

Applications open Monday 20 October 2025 and will close Friday 12 December.

An online information session will be held Thursday 23 October at 10.30am – 11.30am to guide organisations through the application process. Organisations can register on the Ballarat Foundation website. Further information will be announced in the coming weeks, including eligibility criteria and grant guidelines.

Further community funding

The Respect Ballarat grants are the first step in resourcing that will become available for Ballarat organisations and communities to further the work of Respect Ballarat. Further funding will support longer term work, with a focus on addressing the target behaviours. Stay tuned for further information in October and November.
