Content matters. Here’s what we’re reading, watching and listening to during 16 Days

Tired of doom scrolling?

Wake up. Check Instagram. Doom scroll the latest headlines. Listen to a podcast; what was the name of the one your mate recommended?

We're fed so much content; it's easy to slip into auto pilot and let the algorithm feed you. Headphones in, thumbs ready to scroll. Sometimes it feels like it’s just you and an ocean of data, waves and waves of information crashing through your brain.

Frighteningly, misogyny, hate speech and other violent content is easy churned out and served up via our phones. Many people, including young men, are consuming this harmful content.

So, what can we do to counter content that insults and degrades women? Use the 16 Days of Activism to share stories that promote gender equality, respectful relationships, allyship, and healthy masculinities.
